Tart and Soul Cafe and Brand Hitting the Big Screen
My clients (and dear friends) Lisa and Saf are boss lady bakers who create knee slapping puns along with whimsy and down-right delicious sweets and eats at their co-owned Tart Soul Cafe in Halifax. They have accomplished so much in their first 5 months of business. Like being nominated Best New Business in The Coast's Best of Halifax and making their first hire, Meg. Lisa sent me a message the other day with big news.
"Some scenes for a movie called Hopeless Romantic are being filmed at the cafe tomorrow!"
That alone was awesome news. But it got better.
"Six female directors/writers and Margaret Atwood is consulting on it!"
Women in film. Margaret Atwood. Right on! I found more info about the movie on the Sea and be Scene blog here.
"They wanted to keep our name/branding!! So your designs are going to be famous!"
So cool!! A production team full of creative talent who could've come up with something to fit their film - chose to use designs Lisa, Saf and I put so much love into creating. But love overflows at Tart and Soul cafe and with a name like "Hopeless Romantic" - it's a perfect match! Like cookies and milk. Am I right?
How much of the logo, signage or brand will actually make it on film is a mystery but it's exciting. I'll be watching this movie when it's released for sure.
Congrats to all these women for rocking at what they do!
